Ah, I said I’d be out for a bit, right? Truth be told, the last week was pretty crazy from the start. There was a lot to do and a week to do it. Between going through old stuff and more or less finalizing things for our home, it was a considerable amount to do in a short time. Still need to some work, both with sorting through old stuff and putting the finishing touches on the home front, but I think most of it will have to wait until after Thanksgiving.
Anyway, enough of the vagueness. Today will be a short post, even though I want to write about a bunch of stuff.
I will, however, point you toward a post that the inimitable John Scalzi had over at Whatever. Posts like that make his site a daily read for me.
One last thing. I’ve had a few pleasant surprises in the last few weeks as I’ve had friends call me up and say “hey, how are things going”, followed by a great conversation. Somehow, during this conversation, they mention that they saw my blog recently. Big surprise to me, actually. If you do read the blog, which I think is fantastic, feel free to leave a comment now and then. I would appreciate it greatly to know how you’re doing and/or what you think about whatever I’m blathering about on that particular day.
Final thing, I’m going to throw up a blast from the past video and explain the significance in a later post. Feel free to speculate.
