Thought I’d put something up today about a couple of great songwriters that I’m really enjoying right now. I’ve included clips of two women writing some great music. The first clip is from Zoe Keating who does some beautiful, avant-garde cello music. I have her album One Cello x 16: Natoma which is gorgeous and am definitely going to buy her latest which I’ve heard nothing but excellent comments about.
The second video is from Marian Call whom I wish I would have discovered earlier. She is doing a 50-state tour and focusing on small venues to play and I believe she is even doing “house shows” which sound even more awesome. Unfortunately, I think I just missed her swing through MN/WI which makes me very, very sad. The video I’ve linked here is beautiful and has clips from Firefly/Serenity lovingly put together.
